Yes, absolutely. We can work with milk that has been frozen as well as freshly expressed milk.

Whether it’s been tucked away in the freezer for a little while or has been there for years, your milk can still become part of a KARREK keepsake.

5ml is perfect. We’ll send a test tube in your keepsake kit, so there’s no need to measure anything out yourself.

If you don’t have 5ml, please don’t worry. Get in touch or simply send us what you have and we’ll do our very best to create something beautiful with it.

Any remaining preserved milk is carefully stored for up to one year after your piece has been completed.

This means you can choose to have additional pieces made in the future without needing to send more milk.

Each 5ml tube can be used to create up to three pieces, depending on the design and amount required.

Excessive exposure to UV light can cause the milkstone to yellow over time, so where possible, remove your jewellery before using sunbeds and avoid storing it in direct sunlight.

Water can also affect the milkstone, so we recommend removing your jewellery before showering, swimming, bathing or washing up.

With a little care, your keepsake can be enjoyed for years to come.
